| Handrails & Spindles |

Use handrails and spindles to enclose your deck, partially section off areas or simply add to the personal statement that is your deck.
The straightforward simplicity of the spindle can be used on its own or in conjunction with other decorative panels or infills to create interesting little details.

| Finishing Touches |
|
Nothing can create that special evening mood like subtle lighting, which is why our deck lights are a must for any deck.
Sitting flush on the surface, they exude a soft, atmospheric light which transforms your deck into the perfect place for evening entertainment or relaxation.
Finish off flat topped posts with finials or post caps, and decoratively rope off areas that do not have any balustrade.

| Maintenance & Treatment |
Caring for your deck is easy and can enhance its longevity.
The decking supplied by Payne Timber is long-lasting. All our garden timbers are already treated against rot and decay. Tanalith E treated timbers are protected by industry-leading methods of pressure impregnation. Tanalith E is also arsenic free which also makes it better for the environment.
In order to prolong the life of your deck, apply a proprietary brand of preservative fluid to any cut ends. If staining, the use of a solvent or oil based coating is recommended, as many water based products will not be suitable. To retain the water repellent properties of your decking, treat it with suitable wax coating every two to three years.
A range of proprietary anti-slip materials can be applied. Scrub the boards clean every spring and simply brush or sweep regularly.
